Dr. Eleuter Gabriel Mushi is among the staff who found the Faculty of Law of Mzumbe University. With 30 years of working as an academician, Dr. Mushi has served various positions, including Head, Department of Administrative Studies (1999-2002); Chairman of the former IDM Law Subject Panel (1994-1999); and Dean of the Faculty of Law (2002-2011). He was also the Chairman of the team which formulated the proposal that led to the establishment of the Ph.D. and LL.M degree programs in the Faculty of Law of the Mzumbe University.
In addition to teaching, he has also undertaken a number of professional assignments such as training in short courses and reviewing/drafting legal instruments. Some of these short courses include: Legislative Drafting Skills course for State Attorneys and Legal officers (2014), Legislative Drafting Skills Course for Local Government and Regional Secretariat Lawyers (2014), and a training programme entitled “Electoral Legal Framework in Tanzania” – a countrywide training programme conducted by the Electoral Reform International Services (ERIS) of the UK and sponsored by the UNDP Election Support Project-Tanzania (2010). Dr. Mushi also has supervised different Ph.D. candidates who graduated with outstanding credits in their theses.
